Our Apprenticeship Program:

The Spidd Africa Apprenticeship Program is a three-month program that provides selected individuals with hands-on experience working on innovative solutions, IT services and solutions tailored to our client’s unique business requirements.

The three-month Apprenticeship program is comprised of assignments designed to help you develop and strengthen your knowledge and skills and build a successful career at Spidd Africa for the top performers. You’ll get hands-on experience working for a company that uses current technology trends, extensive expertise and ambitious strategies.


The role is directly accountable for overall corporate sales and marketing, relationship management, product development, brand visibility, and maintaining service standards so as to enable Spidd to attain its business objectives.

Responsible for supporting the growth of new business and share of wallet across the portfolios managed while maintaining existing corporate relationships. Leverage, and optimize resources, business and operational risk and market potential to maximize business growth, retention and profitability for Spidd.

The role requires an individual who is passionate about innovations, growing brands and marketing execution, a step that changes the business performance and growth trajectory in the long term.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking
  • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities
  • Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with major groups and clients
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players to actively contribute to corporate and brand advocacy
  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard-copy brochures and case studies
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing
  • Regular tracking of competitive activities (NPD, consumer activities, media & pricing)

Education and Qualifications

  • Qualification Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing & Sales or any Marketing related Course e.g. Bachelor of Commerce, International Business etc.
  • Experience: None, the applicant must be a recent graduate

Skills and specifications

  • Excellent Knowledge of Sales & marketing processes and channels
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics;
  • Knowledge and experience with selling technological products & services;
  • Ability to think and plan strategically and be creative in sales;
  • Demonstrated success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales environment;
  • Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical;
  • A self-starter, aggressive, able to work independently but cooperatively and enthusiastically to build a new business;
  • Familiarity with Office Suite and other document packages (analyzing spreadsheets and charts);
  • Hands-on experience with omnichannel sales techniques (including cold calls, social media, networking, email marketing etc.);
  • Superior communication skills, including pitches, face-to-face presentations, phone, and email;
  • Experience in selling managed services and technology products is a plus;
  • Possess excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and master CRM software and other systems used in various sales processes.
  • Skills in writing marketing briefs and developing business cases
  • The ability to translate consumer and customer insight into effective growth drivers
  • Strong Analytical skills with a keen ability to draw out insights from data
