Celebrating the Women Building Uganda’s Tech Future
At Spidd Africa, we believe progress is powered by people. More specifically, by bold women who choose to build, solve, innovate, and lead in spaces where their impact is shaping the future of technology.
That is why we are proud to officially open nominations for the Spidd Tech She-roes 2026.
This initiative recognizes outstanding Ugandan women under the age of 35 whose work in technology is creating real, measurable impact. These are the builders, problem solvers, innovators, and leaders pushing boundaries and opening doors for others.
Why We Are Celebrating She-roes
Women continue to drive innovation, leadership, and transformation across Uganda’s tech ecosystem. From developing digital solutions and leading technical teams to mentoring young talent and creating access where none existed, their contributions are undeniable.
Yet too often, these stories go untold.
Spidd Africa is committed to changing that narrative by shining a light on women who are not only part of the industry but actively shaping it. The Tech She-roes initiative exists to celebrate excellence, visibility, and inspiration.
This initiative began last year, and in 2026, we are raising the bar.
Who Can Be Nominated
We are looking for Ugandan women who:
- Are under 35 years of age
- Are working in technology or tech-enabled fields
- Are creating meaningful impact through innovation, leadership, or problem solving
- Are influencing communities, teams, or industries through their work
How to Nominate a She-roe
Nominating is simple and community driven.
- Drop their name in the comments on any Spidd Tech She-roes post
- Share a link to their work, project, or visible impact

Awards and Recognition
The top nominated She-roe will receive:
- A latest MacBook
- A Tech She-roe Award
The runner-up will receive:
- A latest iPad
- A Tech She-roe Award
All winners will be celebrated during Women’s Week in March at a special dinner event.
