Technology is changing how organisations work, serve customers and create value. But as our digital environments become more connected, one question becomes increasingly important:
Can people trust the technology they depend on?
This was at the heart of our experience at EAInfoSec2026, hosted by the ISACA Kampala Chapter, where Spidd Africa was proud to participate as a sponsor.
For us, sponsorship was not simply about having a presence at an event. It was an opportunity to contribute to a much bigger conversation about digital trust, cybersecurity, secure technology adoption and business-driven innovation.
From compliance to confidence
One of the most valuable conversations came during the C-Suite Roundtable, “Trust at the Top,” where our General Manager, Angela Mirembe Semwogerere, joined leaders from banking, regulation, research and technology.
The panel, moderated by Emmanuel Mugabi, brought together Angela alongside Wilbrod Owor, Executive Director of the Uganda Bankers Association, Christopher Katinti, Commissioner ICT at NITA-U, and Nicholas Mbonimpa, CEO of RENU.
The conversation moved beyond seeing cybersecurity simply as a technical cost or an audit requirement.
It explored something broader: how technology can create confidence, resilience, access and long-term institutional value.
It also highlighted the importance of listening to users, designing technology with flexibility, supporting SMEs, investing in quality and assurance, and building partnerships that allow organisations to grow sustainably.
For Spidd, this conversation strongly reflects what we believe.
Technology should work for people and business. It should not make work harder.
Technology that is secure, practical and useful
At our booth, we had the opportunity to continue these conversations beyond the stage.
We spoke with professionals, business leaders, technology teams and organisations about their everyday technology challenges. From infrastructure and network security to managed services, cloud, AI and digital transformation, the conversations reminded us that every organisation has a different technology journey.
And sometimes, the biggest challenge is not knowing that a solution exists.
It is knowing where to start.
That is why we continue to advocate for technology that is easy, effective and secure.
Our role is not simply to introduce more technology into a business. It is to help organisations understand what they need, make informed technology decisions and build environments that allow their people to work with confidence.
